In 2013, several hotspots were identified in one of Melbourne’s largest closed landfill sites. Socom was engaged to assist the company work with the emergency services agency to formulate a communication response to the elevated temperatures in the landfill. Socom produced a communication strategy targeting all stakeholders on behalf of all response organisations.
