The purpose of the secretariat is to identify common issues and priorities and then, using the strength of their united approach, to open dialogue with Commonwealth and State Government and industry in the region to ensure the best outcome for their communities.

Our Approach:
Socom provides South East Metro Councils with executive support and communication services, including strategic advice, lobbying programs and meeting co-ordination.

Results:
Since inception, South East Metro Councils has developed key working relationships with State and Federal Governments to deliver successful outcomes for their communities and to advocate for the changes required to grow the region.
