Campaign:
Socom was approach by Horticulture Australia Limited (HAL) to develop a communication strategy to help improve potato growers' competitiveness. At the time, growers faced increasing pressures from imports, which meant that many were struggling to remain competitive on price and quality.
Our Approach:
Socom undertook research revealing most growers were unaware of the R&D projects funded by Horticulture Australia levies and what these important research projects meant to them at a practical level.
Results:
Working closely with processed and fresh market growers, Socom developed a communication strategy recommending new tools to help growers farm ‘smarter’ by using best practice to combat disease, water and land shortages and to decrease their overheads.
