Socom has won many Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) Golden Targets, the industry's highest awards for a range of public relations programs from 1995 to 2007.
Worldwide acknowledgement first occurred when Socom won the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Golden World Awards in 1997 in the Public Affairs category and Highly Commended for the Marketing Communications category in 2000.
Socom has subsequently won International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Golden World Awards in 2003 and 2005 for the 'Common Sense for the East Timorese' and the ‘A Voice for our Future’ campaigns respectively.
The 'Common Sense for the East Timorese' also won awards from the United Nations, Asia Pacific and American Business awards.
